This 5.5" Beni Kikokuryu Butterfly Koi features a dynamic metallic base layered with deep black (sumi), clean white (shiroji), and vibrant orange (beni) accents. The high-contrast pattern creates a bold, ever-changing appearance, a defining characteristic of the Kikokuryu lineage.
As a Beni Kikokuryu, this koi combines the classic black-and-white metallic foundation with added red/orange patterning, producing a striking three-color effect. The reflective sheen enhances both the depth of the sumi and the brightness of the beni, giving the fish a luminous, high-impact presence.
The Doitsu (scaleless) body allows the metallic quality to show cleanly, while the butterfly (longfin) trait adds flowing movement and elegance. The extended fins create a graceful silhouette that amplifies the fish’s visual presence despite its smaller size.
