SHOWA (shō – wah) 

Illustration is that of an ideal Showa. The Showa is a three colored, non-metallic koi; predominately black body with areas of red and white markings. Can have black at the base of pectoral fins and on the head or face. Each color may appear as bands of color rather than spots. KINDAI SHOWA  Predominately white with bands of Sumi (black) and Hi (red-orange).
