This 5.5" Beni Kikokuryu Butterfly Koi has a bold, moody appearance with an unusual combination of fiery orange, deep smoky black and metallic highlights.
The bright orange head immediately draws attention, transitioning into a dramatically darker body covered in charcoal-black sumi. Warm bronze and copper tones shimmer through the darker pigmentation, giving the fish an almost molten-metal appearance when the light hits it.
Its Doitsu characteristics are especially noticeable along the back, where the larger dorsal scales create additional texture and definition. Long, pale Butterfly pectoral fins provide striking contrast against the dark body, while the elongated tail carries darker pigmentation for an especially dramatic finish.
