This 10" Beni Kikokuryu Butterfly Koi is packed with contrast, color and dramatic movement. Its combination of fiery orange-red beni, deep black markings and bright metallic highlights creates an intricate appearance that immediately stands out from more traditional koi varieties.
The pattern is especially interesting along the back, where dark markings break through the warm orange-red coloration and lighter metallic areas. Because Beni Kikokuryu are metallic Doitsu koi, the limited scaling adds even more visual interest and allows the contrasting colors to appear especially bold.
But the real showstopper on this koi is the Butterfly finnage. The extraordinarily long pectoral fins sweep outward from the body, while the flowing tail extends dramatically behind the fish. Those pale, almost silvery fins provide a beautiful contrast against the darker body.
Beni Kikokuryu are also known for being a dynamic variety whose dark pigmentation can shift in intensity over time, making their appearance especially interesting as they mature.
At 10 inches, this koi already has tremendous character and unusually impressive finnage.
