Meet Zipper, a 7.5" Beni Kumonryu with an extraordinary combination of color, contrast, and dramatic scale patterns!
What makes Zipper especially fascinating is the bold arrangement of oversized black mirror scales running down its back. These distinctive scales create an almost armor-like appearance against the smooth, blue-gray body, giving this koi a wonderfully prehistoric look.
The cool blue-gray coloration provides a beautiful contrast to the dark scaling, while a brilliant red-orange marking curves around the head, creating an eye-catching splash of color. Subtle black markings along the sides add even more depth to its unusual appearance.
Beni Kumonryu are known for their fascinating combination of black, white, and red coloration. As members of the Kumonryu family, their black sumi patterns can change as they mature, sometimes creating a noticeably different appearance over time.
