This 12.5" Kin Ki Utsuri Koi has a dramatic, almost molten appearance created by its combination of metallic gold-orange coloration and deep black sumi.
The head and shoulders display especially intense golden-orange color, while the dark sumi becomes increasingly prominent through the body. Individual scales create a striking textured appearance, with the metallic highlights showing through between the darker markings.
Its darker pectoral fins and tail complement the heavy sumi and give the entire koi a cohesive, powerful appearance. Rather than the bright lemon-yellow look seen on some Kin Ki Utsuri, this individual leans toward a deeper copper-gold tone, giving it a distinctive character.
At 12.5 inches, it has excellent pond presence and should appeal especially to someone looking for something darker and more unusual than a traditional red-and-white koi.
