This 9" Beni Kikokuryu Koi delivers an intense combination of fiery orange-red beni, deep black sumi and reflective metallic silver.
The vivid beni dominates much of the body, creating a brilliant orange-red appearance that immediately stands out. Dark sumi adds dramatic contrast through the head, shoulders and back, while flashes of metallic silver brighten the pattern and give the koi its characteristic Kikokuryu brilliance.
Along the dorsal line, prominent Doitsu scales add texture and definition, especially where the darker pigmentation meets the bright beni. The combination gives this koi an almost molten, fiery appearance when viewed from above.
Beni Kikokuryu are also known for changeable sumi, meaning the intensity and distribution of the darker pigmentation can evolve as the koi matures. That potential for change is one of the fascinating characteristics of this variety.
At 9", this koi already has tremendous visual impact and would be an excellent choice for someone looking for a bold metallic koi with strong red-orange coloration.
