This striking 9.5" Beni Kikokuryu Koi has an unusually bold appearance, combining deep black sumi, warm bronze-orange beni, and brilliant metallic highlights.
Its most distinctive feature is the row of large, dark “dragon-like” scales running along the back. Metallic gold and bronze tones peek through and around the dark scaling, creating an almost armored appearance that makes this koi especially dramatic when viewed from above.
The darker head and fins complement the heavy sumi, while flashes of warm metallic color along the body provide beautiful contrast. Beni Kikokuryu are also known for their dynamic coloration, making them particularly interesting koi to watch mature.
For someone looking for a koi that is dark, metallic, and completely different from the typical pond fish, this one has tremendous character.
