This 8.5" Doitsu Hi Utsuri Koi makes a bold statement with its intense combination of fiery orange-red hi and deep black sumi.
The dark coloration forms a dramatic foundation across much of the body, while vivid orange-red markings break through from the head toward the tail. The strong contrast gives this koi an almost flame-like appearance when viewed from above.
As a Doitsu Hi Utsuri, the largely scaleless body creates a smoother, cleaner appearance than a fully scaled Utsuri, allowing the individual areas of black and orange-red to become the main focus.
Dark pectoral fins complement the heavy sumi and add even more visual weight to the pattern. This is an especially appealing koi for someone who enjoys the powerful black-and-red appearance of Hi Utsuri and wants something noticeably different from traditional red-and-white koi.
