This 7" Doitsu Sanke Butterfly Koi has a distinctive three-color pattern highlighted by a bold red head and scattered black sumi markings.
The vivid red-orange coloration across the head immediately draws the eye, while individual black markings continue across the lighter body. Because this is a Doitsu koi, the largely scaleless skin gives the pattern a clean, open appearance and allows each contrasting marking to stand out.
Long Butterfly fins and an elongated flowing tail add graceful movement, while subtle darker pigmentation extending toward the rear gives this young koi additional character.
For someone looking for a Sanke that is a little different from the traditional fully scaled variety, this koi combines classic red, white and black coloration with smooth Doitsu skin and elegant long fins.
This koi was bred and raised at Kloubec Koi Farm in Amana, Iowa—we never import koi for resale.
Our family-owned American koi farm encompasses 80 acres, more than 60 outdoor ponds and a 300,000-gallon indoor facility. Every Kloubec Koi completes our comprehensive health and quarantine protocol before being offered for sale, and our farm has never had a case of KHV.
