Golden elegance meets dramatic, dragon-like scaling in this 7.5" Doitsu Kin Matsuba Butterfly Koi!
This distinctive koi features a beautiful combination of brilliant golden-yellow highlights, warm olive-bronze coloration, and bold charcoal-black mirror scales. The golden head provides a striking focal point, while the darker coloration along the body adds depth and contrast.
One of its most remarkable features is the dramatic arrangement of oversized mirror scales along the back. These dark, individually defined scales create an almost armor-like appearance, giving this koi exceptional texture and character.
The beautiful Butterfly fins add another dimension to its appeal. Long, flowing pectoral fins sweep gracefully alongside the body, while the extended tail creates elegant movement in the water.
Unlike traditional fully scaled Matsuba koi, this Doitsu variation features a largely smooth body accented by prominent scales, allowing its unusual pattern to take center stage.
At 7.5 inches, this young koi already has a memorable appearance, combining bold scaling with graceful finnage and warm golden coloration.
If you're looking for a koi that offers unusual texture, dramatic contrast, and elegant movement, this Doitsu Kin Matsuba Butterfly is an excellent choice.
