Meet “Blaze,” a 7.5" Hi Showa Koi with fiery color and dramatic contrast.
Unlike a traditional Showa where red, white and black may share the pattern more evenly, Hi Showa are characterized by a strong dominance of red or orange hi. Blaze is an excellent example of that look, with intense orange-red coloration covering most of the body.
Deep black sumi markings break across the head, shoulders and body, creating bold contrast against the brilliant hi. Even the pectoral fins carry dark pigmentation, adding to Blaze's unmistakable Showa character.
The result is a koi with a particularly hot, fiery appearance—one that should be very easy to spot swimming among lighter-colored koi.
For someone who loves Showa but prefers more red and less white, Blaze is a distinctive choice.
