This 6" Aka Shusui Butterfly Koi combines rich warm coloration with the distinctive dorsal scaling of Shusui and the graceful movement of long Butterfly fins.
Compared with a traditional Shusui, this koi displays a much stronger presence of orange-red hi along the sides and body. Running through the center is a contrasting line of dark blue-gray Doitsu scales, creating the characteristic Shusui look against the warmer surrounding color.
The largely scaleless body gives the koi a smooth appearance and makes those prominent dorsal scales especially noticeable. As the light changes, the darker scaling contrasts beautifully against shades of copper, orange and red.
The Butterfly finnage is another standout feature, with long pale pectoral fins and a flowing tail that soften the bold coloration and create elegant movement in the pond.
