Kloubec Koi has been suppling koi to myself and friends for over 12 years. In that time Ellen, Myron and other Kloubec family members have all taken the time to educate myself and friends to insure the health and happiness of all of our koi. Never once has a koi arrived unhealthy, damaged or sick. Thank you Kloubec family for providing us all joy and happiness when viewing our ponds. -Ekaterina Kovalenko

Ellen was a pleasure to deal with. I had ordered 7 fish, but when the weather became a bit unpredictable, she worked with me to ship them at a time of my choosing. They arrived in fine shape and were, of course, the ones I had ordered. Most koi breeders do not have on line selection of specific fish unless it is the quite large expensive ones. Thanks Ellen. I can recommend your company without reservation. -Philip Rush

This 13" Asagi Koi showcases one of the oldest and most recognizable koi patterns, combining cool blue-gray coloration with warm red-orange accents.

The standout feature is the strong reticulation across the back. Each scale has a darker blue-gray center surrounded by a lighter edge, creating the distinctive net-like pattern that makes Asagi so appealing. On this koi, the reticulation extends cleanly from behind the head toward the tail, giving the fish excellent visual texture from above.

Warm red-orange coloration along the sides and fins provides contrast against the cooler blue body. As this koi moves through the pond, that combination of blue-gray scales and warm hi gives it a classic, natural appearance that is very different from heavily patterned varieties such as Showa or Sanke.

At 13 inches, this Asagi is already large enough to have noticeable pond presence while still offering plenty of opportunity to watch its coloration and reticulation develop with maturity.

This koi was bred and raised at Kloubec Koi Farm in Amana, Iowa. Our family-owned American koi farm raises its koi onsite rather than importing koi for resale.

Kloubec Koi Farm encompasses 80 acres with more than 60 outdoor ponds, and fish health remains central to our breeding program. Our farm has never had a case of KHV or SVC, giving our customers confidence in the health and origin of the koi they add to their ponds.
