This 12.5" Gin Rin Kohaku Koi takes the classic red-and-white Kohaku combination and adds an incredible layer of sparkle.
The first thing you'll notice is the brilliant Gin Rin scaling. Individual reflective scales catch the light across the red pattern, creating a shimmering effect that makes the beni appear almost illuminated when viewed from above.
Its pattern features rich red-orange hi over a contrasting white ground, with substantial color coverage from the head through the body. Open white areas break up the pattern and provide contrast, while the lighter tail section creates a clean finish.
At 12.5 inches, this koi already has excellent pond presence. Gin Rin is particularly effective in an outdoor pond because the reflective scales interact with sunlight and movement, making this fish difficult to overlook.
This koi was bred and raised at Kloubec Koi Farm in Amana, Iowa—we never import koi for resale.
