This 11" Heisei Nishiki Koi combines metallic brilliance, warm color and distinctive Doitsu scaling in an eye-catching three-color presentation.
Its bright silver-white ground provides the backdrop for broad areas of warm orange color along the body. Darker sumi accents add contrast, particularly toward the rear, giving the pattern additional depth without overwhelming the lighter metallic ground.
One of this koi's most interesting features is its Doitsu scale arrangement. Large mirror scales travel along the dorsal area, creating a pronounced textured line down the body. The combination of reflective skin and oversized scales produces different flashes of silver, orange and charcoal as the koi moves through the water.
The clean, light-colored fins complement the metallic body and help keep the overall appearance bright.
