This dramatic 10" Doitsu Showa Koi makes a bold statement with its deep black sumi, contrasting white ground, and touches of vivid red-orange hi.
Heavy sumi dominates much of the body, creating an intense dark appearance that immediately sets this koi apart. Areas of clean white break through the black pattern for strong contrast, while smaller red-orange markings around the head and shoulder add just enough warm color to complete the classic Showa palette.
The Doitsu scale type gives the pattern an especially smooth, graphic appearance, allowing the large areas of black and white to stand out beautifully. Dark accents in the fins and tail further complement the heavy sumi pattern.
At 10 inches, this young Showa already has tremendous personality and pond presence. It would be an excellent choice for someone who prefers dark, dramatic Showa rather than a fish dominated by red and white.
